🎬 THE ECHO 8 TRILOGY AUSTRALIAN PREMIERES | GENERAL AUDIENCE QUESTIONS
What is The Echo 8 Trilogy?
An independent Australian action trilogy made with the support of a passionate filmmaking community. These premiere nights celebrate its two newest films, Five By Five and Echo 8 Beyond.
Can anyone attend?
Yes! These are public premieres. You don’t need to know anyone involved or work in the film industry. Come with friends, bring a movie lover or join us on your own.
When and where are the screenings?
📍 Reading Cinemas Auburn, Sydney
• Five By Five: Thursday 10 December 2026, 6pm
• Echo 8 Beyond: Friday 11 December 2026, 6pm
Are both films screening on the same night?
No. Each film has its own premiere night and requires a separate ticket. You’re welcome to attend one or join us for both!
Do I need to watch Echo 8 first?
Watching the original will give you extra background on the characters and their world. Five By Five is the prequel, while Echo 8 Beyond continues the story after Echo 8.
How much are tickets, and where do I book?
General admission is $30 per person, per film, plus applicable booking fees.
🎟️ Book through TryBooking: https://www.trybooking.com/DQKOE
Please check that you’ve selected the correct film and date before completing your booking.
What does my ticket support?
Making an independent film is a huge achievement, and bringing it to a cinema audience takes another round of work and funding. We’re a small team without a major studio behind us. Ticket sales help cover cinema hire, promotion and event costs. Making these screenings financially sustainable means we can keep sharing independent stories without the filmmakers personally funding every stage. Every booking helps make these nights possible. ❤️
Can I buy tickets at the door?
We strongly recommend booking ahead. Seats are limited, and any door sales will depend on availability.
Can I sit with my friends or family?
Please book together in one transaction where possible. Organisers will allocate seats later.
If you’ve already booked separately, contact our ticketing team with your booking names and we’ll do our best to seat you together.
What time should I arrive?
Aim to arrive at 5:30pm for photos and check-in. Doors are scheduled to open at 5:45pm, ahead of the 6pm event start. Please arrive on time. There is no late entry once the film begins.
What happens on the night?
Enjoy red carpet photo opportunities, watch the film on the big screen and stay for a Q&A with attending cast and filmmakers. You’ll get to hear how the films came together and ask questions about what happened behind the scenes.
What makes these premieres special?
You’ll experience the finished films with a live audience, alongside people who helped create them. Our US producers will also be flying in to celebrate with us. For our team, sharing these stories in a cinema is something we’ve worked towards for years. Whether you’ve followed the journey from the beginning or are discovering us for the first time, we’d love you to be part of it.
Didn’t you already hold a screening?
Yes! We held a private work-in-progress screening for cast and crew in December 2025, before the colour grading, sound and final edits were complete. These public premieres showcase the finished films and introduce them to a wider audience.
How long are the films?
• Five By Five: approximately 111 minutes
• Echo 8 Beyond: approximately 122 minutes
Allow around three hours for the full event, including introductions and the Q&A.
Is there a dress code?
Dress up for the red carpet if you’d like! We’d love to see your premiere look, but you don’t need to buy a new outfit to join us.
Can children attend?
Please check the age restrictions and content advice on the booking page before purchasing tickets for children. Contact the organisers if you’re unsure.
Is there parking or public transport nearby?
Parking is available onsite. Reading Cinemas Auburn is approximately an 18-minute walk from Auburn Station. Allow extra time for travel and parking.
What if I need accessible seating?
Please contact our ticketing team before booking so we can confirm arrangements with the cinema and help with your seating needs.
Can I take photos or videos?
You’re welcome to capture your red carpet moments and tag @echo8trilogy! Please follow the announcements on the night about recording inside the cinema, respect other audience members and avoid sharing film spoilers.
Will merchandise be available?
Premiere merchandise options are listed on our booking page. Items ordered for premiere pickup can be collected at the event.
What is the charity raffle?
Each screening ticket includes one complimentary raffle entry. Additional raffle tickets will be available, with 100% of additional raffle ticket proceeds donated to Little Legs Foundation in memory of Maddy Suy (a cast member of 'Echo 8 Beyond'), supporting research into DIPG, an aggressive childhood brain tumour. If you prefer not to be entered into the raffle, please let our ticketing team know.
What if the ticket price is a barrier to attending?
Please contact our ticketing team privately through the booking page to discuss whether assistance is available. Discounted or complimentary places aren’t guaranteed, but you’re welcome to ask.
What if I can no longer attend?
Please check the booking terms and contact our ticketing team about your options. Include your booking name, reference number and screening date.
Can I support the films if I can’t attend?
Absolutely! Share the booking link, tell friends in Sydney or repost our trailers. Helping someone discover the films makes a difference, and we appreciate you spreading the word.
Who do I contact for help?
Message @echo8trilogy or contact the organiser through the TryBooking event page. For booking enquiries, please include your booking name and the film you’re attending.
Thank you for supporting independent Australian cinema. We can’t wait to share these films with you! 🎬❤️
